Damsel is an Anarch in Los Angeles. During the events of the search for the Ankaran Sarcophagus, she spends most of her time at the Last Round, an Anarch bar in the Downtown area. A passionate woman who has nothing but contempt for Prince LaCroix and the Camarilla, she tolerates them only insofar as they're helping to fend off the Kuei-jin, whom she despises.[1] She's known to find white supremacists on dating sites as her chosen prey.[2]

At some point she befriends Beckett, and in 2005, sends him messages offering him her thoughts on Ramona[3], the local Tremere[3], and Jenna Cross[4].

Damsel continues to be an advocate for the Anarch Free State through to at least 2018, acting as Den Mother.[5]. She also tutors new Brujah[6][7].

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Damsel is present at the protagonist's "welcome" to Kindred society and the execution of their sire, sat with her fellow Anarchs Nines Rodriguez and Skelter. Afterwards, she is seen talking to fellow Anarch Ash Rivers.

Damsel spent the last decade establishing the Anarch Free State in California before moving to Seattle to increase the Anarch influence in the Pacific Northwest.

Personality and Traits

Damsel is aggressive and passionate, both trademark Brujah traits. She can come across as grating to others, but she is well respected by some of her fellow Anarchs. Her passion comes across in her hatred for the Camarilla and her faith in Anarch values. She refers to the Camarilla elders with the term "cape," like other Anarchs do. She is not above respecting and admiring other people, but only after they prove themselves worthy.

  • Malkavian players in Bloodlines refer to her as "damn sail" or "damsel of distress".
  • Damsel's shirt bears the image of a 1918 "L'Armée Suisse" (Swiss Army) recruitment poster, albeit altered with the name and symbol of Troika Games.[8]
  • Damsel's beret may be an homage to the revolutionary figure "El Che" Guevara. The beret and armbands also bear the gear symbol of Troika.

  • The manner in which you inform Damsel that Paul Anderson is dead may be a reference to the "Paul is dead" urban legend about Beatles musician Paul McCartney.
