Donald Roe

Doctor Donald Roe was the director of Bishopsgate Mental Asylum from 1917 to 1920. He is currently one of the ghosts on Bishopsgate's board of directors.

Overview

Bearing the shortest tenure of any of the asylum's directors, Roe took the position after finding Director Edward Brake's body hanging in his office. Due to the extensive renovation programs Brake had instituted during his time, Roe inherited a financially overburdened institution. In order to keep afloat, Roe was forced to dismiss nearly half of the staff. The quality of Bishopsgate's treatment began to falter, to the point that patients in the basement levels were starving to death.

Roe's time in power ended only three years after it began, when a patient suffering from delusional psychosis escaped his ward and strangled Roe to death before committing suicide.

Following his death, he became a ghost, joining the board of directors.
