Konstantin Mittelos

Background:

Konstantin has lived in Philadelphia since his family moved here when he was a boy. He instantly became fascinated at an early age with the rich history of the country, specifically the Masonic symbology seeded throughout the nation's fundament by the Founding Fathers. The deeper he dug, the more he became convinced it meant something and all roads pointed toward the first capital. Thus Konstantin was indoctrinated into the Aegis Kai Doru while maintaining his local roots. The rumor that fascinated him most was the Founding Fathers left a series of "Elemental Keys" behind - four Masonic artifacts said to lead to hidden treasure.

It is impossible to stay local and ignore the wolf problem, let alone Konstantin believes the monsters hold at least one of the keys. When Gunnarsen and the others sounded the call to match into Fairmount Park and root out the beasts, Konstantin was quick to jump on board and urged several other long-time residents to join the crusade. While instrumental in the Reclamation, killing two wolves personally and costing a third her eye, his efforts proved fruitless to his personal hunt.

He's become obsessed ever since, convinced that one-eyed bitch knows something about the keys and he plans to take the information from her by force. If she doesn't know, maybe young "Broken Arrow" will, or the next mongrel or the next. He will work his way through them one by one until he finds the evidence the perversions are hiding from him.

Aside from his lifelong quest - which even other members of the conspiracy consider a wild goose chase - he spends his time bumping heads with the Ashwood Abbey and sussing out other Relics tied to America's birthplace. He's freed many curiosities from the hands of witches and wolves, but still the Elemental Keys elude him.

Appearance:

Konstantin has gotten old while he wasn't looking, and crested the proverbial hill years ago. He's a fit fifty-something, only having lost half a step to the younger set. Everyone within the Aegis fancy themselves cat-burglars; running around in black pajamas and night-vision goggles. In his day most of his time was spent in libraries wearing something sensible. He holds onto this attitude, prone to jeans and flannel and a good pair of sturdy boots.
