Madame Estelle

Madame Estelle, the Empress of the North Star, was a changeling active in France in the mid- to late-1600s.

Overview

First appearing in Marseille in 1655 with a hobgoblin and changeling entourage, Estelle fled to France in the wake of the Thirty Years’ War. From there, she traveled across the country with her crew, refusing to tie herself to any particular freehold. Estelle built up an impressive reputation for helping the changeling community, garnering a network of allies, which she would eventually leverage into an agreement known as the Accord of the Spheres, which established the Court of the North Star.

Madame Estelle would continue to exercise her power as Empress of the North Star from her hollow, Brocéliande, where she held court among the freeholds’ ambassadors.

Speculation

Given the description's focus on her elegance and beauty, it is likely that Estelle is one of the Fairest. Additionally, given that the Court of the North Star was a political structure rather than a Court proper, it is unknown what Court Estelle actually belonged to, or if she belonged to a Court at all.
