Richard (CofD)
Sheriff Richard was a crooked cop working for Jasper County, Georgia during the late 50s. Normally paid off by Frank Donnely, the criminal deliberately missed a payment so as to set Richard on one of Donnely's moonshine runners, Lemuel Ebberds, with whom he'd had a falling out.
During the subsequent chase, the sheriff drove Ebberds to Smithonia Bridge, which had been damaged in a storm. The bridge failed, and though Richard was unharmed, Ebberds died.
