Transmissible

A Transmissible is a Form of Deviant that can communicate its Broken condition like a disease.

Overview

A Transmissible is like any other Deviant except for the ability to inflict his Divergence upon Baselines. This may represent a supernatural pathogen, a curse, or some other means of passing the Divergence to another host. Each Transmissible has a vector by which he can spread the condition; usually this resembles the means of transmitting a mundane disease. Some vectors are more virulent than others; for one, the victim must be bitten by the Deviant during the full moon, while for another, a small drop of blood on a papercut is enough.

Once the victim is infected, she may attempt to resist the infection. There is generally a short onset period before symptoms manifest. These symptoms may be identical to a cold or flu, or have stranger effects. If the victim fails to resist the infection, the symptoms worsen and develop into a complete Divergence.
