Background:
The Millers have put a lot of money into the neighborhood around Mount Airy, and Woodward is proud to pick up where his father left off; as a philanthropist and member of the Ashwood Abbey. His father took part in the Reclamation, but all of that was before his time and the shaggies are practically tamed by now. Woodward wants to take down a werewolf - the only foe he hasn't beaten - if he's ever going to surpass his father's legacy within the compact.
He is a a colleague of Elsa Gunnarsen if not quite her friend, due to her sometimes unfortunate views on the color of his skin. Their mutual interests are enough that he finds a way to transcend her ignorance, but it isn't always easy. If Woodward is being honest, there's not a lot of color in the Abbey, and he isn't one to rock the boat. Recently, however, he's finding himself diverging from their - and Elsa's - focus.
The Broken-Arrow woman is having exactly the wrong effect on his morale. Woodward is increasingly torn between the compact and basic human dignity, which was never a problem before. He's trying to convince himself this isn't about the girl.
Appearance:
Woodward is a mocha-skinned African-American with gentle eyes and a warming smile. He's always dressed as if he just came from work, even out on the golf course or sipping mimosas at the Country Club. He keeps his hair short, his face smooth and his nails trim. In all ways he comes off as square as they come, unless he's on the hunt. Even then he's more subdued than many within his compact, but the gleam in his eye and his devilish smile belies the rush he feels in the pursuit of his prey.
