- Type species: Neoeurys metallica Rohwer, 1910: 473 by original designation (and monotypy).
Gender: [?]. The gender of the genus was not stated in the original description. The genus can be interpreted as masculine due to the suffix of the genus, defined by that of the Greek Eurys (masculine), which is practically linked to Eurys Newman, 1841 90, However, it is worth noting that the original formation of the adjectival suffix of the type species "metallica" in feminine, but per ICZN this would be a subsidiary influence on definition of the gender for the genus].
