Hungry

The Hungry are the Bound whose Burden is the loss of or inability to acquire something they desired.

Overview

Turns out they were right: you can’t take it with you. Nobody said anything about coming back for it.

These Sin-Eaters saw their attachments as being integral to them — something so potent as to stave off death. These attachments, be they physical possessions or some plan of theirs, are things that often occupied their minds frequently in life.

Frequently derided by those of other Burdens for their selfish motives for the Bargain, the possessions in question may not necessarily be material wealth. A researcher who could not leave behind her vaccine before it was completed is just as likely to take up this Burden as a millionaire who could not let go of his fortune.

The geists who are drawn to these Bound are often associated in some way with the thing that brought the Sin-Eater back. Additionally, the pair is more likely to link themselves more closely to one another than most Burdens.
