Kishamono
Kishamono, the train people, are doppelgängers of those who take the ghost trains to a new life.
Overview
It is said that those seeking a new life may take certain ghost trains in order to find one. In leaving, however, they are replaced by beings known as the kishamono. These doppelgängers are well aware they are duplicate, but nonetheless possess all the memories of the original — if from a third-party perspective.
They have similar personalities to begin with, but with none of the self-control the original individual had. As such, kishamono tend to rapidly change, and not for the better, falling victim to the most heinous of vices in time.
When injured a kishamono leaks a mixture of blood and a strange kind of machine lubricant. The touch of a kishamono’s “original” will inflict aggravated damage as it vomits up the substance. On death, the kishamono turns into a pile of bloody industrial sludge.
Currently, the kishamono are known to inhabit the Shinjuku station in Tokyo, domain of the Tek-Tek, who has tasked the Titgwai Gang with watching over them.
