Tek-Tek
The Tek-Tek is a former ghost that became something else over time: more an idea of death itself.
Overview
The Tek-Tek is a mythical being that represents death-by-train, rather appropriately embodied as a woman whose body appears to have been cut in half by a train. She is said to kill those who try to return to their old lives after taking the ghost train; once the deed is done, to try to renege is believed to be spitting on the compassion that granted the second chance.
The Tek-Tek of Shinjuku station in particular changed the machinery of the world to grant power to her station, creating a ghost train. The kishamono the station spits out, however, were never her intention. Her attempts to stop them all failed, with more crawling out of the woodwork. As such, she decided to recruit Wong Ng, who formed the Titgwai Gang in her name, so as to rise in power above whatever being creates the kishamono.
