商業ビルの屋根や壁面にあるような、商号を示し、製品やサービスを宣伝するために使われている看板です。ネオンサイン（luminous=*を使ってください）、ロゴ、地名看板や、施設入り口の銘板（学校、発電所、下水処理場、埋立地、大病院や大学キャンパスなど）にも使われています。

組み合わせ

• name=* – 看板そのものの呼び名がある場合
• inscription=* – 看板に書かれている文字
• lit=* – 看板が照明されている、つまり夜でも見えるように看板を照らす位置に照明がある
• luminous=* – 看板が発光するかどうかを示す、つまり看板自体が何らかの光を発し、単に照明光を反射しているのではない
• animated=* – 看板が動くかどうか、また動き方を示す。
• material=* – 看板が何で作られているか（石、金属など）
• location=* – 看板のある位置。よくある値は:
  • location=roof – 建物や構造の屋上に設置されている
  • location=surface – 地面に置かれている
  • location=wall – 壁の側面に固定されている
