Sept of the Awakening
The Sept of the Awakening is a Bone Gnawer caern located on Hain's Point in East Potomac Park in Washington, D.C.[1]
History
The Sept was originally a Black Fury Caern watched by the Sky Eagles pack from the early days of English colonization. Minions of the Wyrm came in 1814 when the British burned Washington D.C. The Black Fury Philodox, Chryseis Athene, performed the Rite of the Scattering to protect the caern. In 1968, a pack of Bone Gnawers that were part of the Poor Peoples' Protest rediscovered the Caern and a giant Homid spirit body in the Umbra.
A Bone Gnawer Philodox named Soda Drinker gave the final howl of the Rite of Spirit Awakening on the spirit. In 1980, a sculpture was placed over the Caern site. As the spirit awakens, the sculpture twists and changes into a werewolf.
