Steed

Steed is a type of Arcadian Contract specializing in travel, be it through time or space. Given its association with the freedom of the wild, this Contract is favored by Beasts.

Abilities

Common

  • Boon of the Scuttling Spider: The changeling can easily move along any surface, regardless of orientation, so long as it can support his weight.
  • Dreamsteps: The caster travels into a target’s dreams rather than his own.
  • Nevertread: The caster leaves no traces of his passage.
  • Pathfinder: A boon to any Hedge traveler, this clause draws a changeling to features of the Hedge (e.g. a patch of goblin fruits, a Hollow).
  • Seven-League Leap: The changeling leaps with superhuman aptitude.

Royal

  • Chrysalis: The caster transforms into one of two chosen animals, taking on their nature and capabilities.
  • Flickering Hours: The changeling slows or speeds the passage of time by a factor of two.
  • Leaping Toward Nightfall: An object or character is sent forward in time, reappearing at the same location.
  • Mirror Walk: The caster can step through one mirror out of another one, assuming he has touched the exit and it is large enough.
  • Talon and Wing: The changeling can do one of three things: gain a beast’s mode of transportation, increasing Speed; gain a beast’s senses, boosting perception; or gain a beast’s claws, boosting Brawl attacks.
