     The Pharmacopoeia of the PRC records that the function of the caterpillar fungus is to invigorate the kidneys, tonify the lungs, stop bleeding and reduce phlegm; it is suitable for treating symptoms such as lung and kidney vacuity, deficiency of vital essence, cough, shortness of breath, night sweats, aching in the waist and knees, impotence and nocturnal emission.
